WHO IS A HOUSEKEEPER & HOME ASSISTANT?
 
There are other Au pair Agencies but our Au pair Agency only introduces applicants that they feel are suitable for the job. We also check their references, including references from previous employers.
  • Housekeeper is a person who provides domestic services such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, and sometimes even shopping, cooking. A full-time Housekeeper usually does not have much involvement with children and is mainly responsible for keeping the house clean and tidy.
 
  • Housekeeper can work either part-time or full-time, normally they work 5 days a week, but sometimes even 6 days a week. Housekeepers working 6 days a week, should have one full weekend a month.
 
  • Their pay depence on their experience, age, and working hours. The minimum pay is normaly £120 a week NET for 30-35 hours.
 
  • Our Au pair Agency insist that all Housekeepers have to provide a reference from their previous employer and also a character reference.
 
WHO IS A HOME ASSISTANT?
 
  •  is a person who provides domestic services such as cleaning, hoovering, dusting, washing up, loading/unloading dishwasher, washing the floors, ironing, washing and sometimes even shopping, cooking
 
  • Home Assistants normally work from 25-35 hours a week and their weekly pay is £75 for 25 hours, £85/90 for 30 hours or £95/100 for 35 hours a week. They normally have two full days off a week.
 
  • Home Assistants normally mainly look after the house but they can also look after the children, morning childcare, school runs, afternoon childcare, babysittings.
